Wanda Cook, 23 year Vacaville resident, founder and Artistic Director of Young Artists
Conservatory of Music (YACM) in Vacaville, will re-open and operate Theatre DeVille under a
new entity, A & E Mix, Inc. Cook brings her many years of experience in the performing arts
and community development to this effort that will provide Vacaville with a premier
entertainment venue.

On July 27, Renaissance Entertainment LLC, a group of investors from Silicon Valley led by
Farzad Mobin, purchased the renovated 1925 historic Clark Theatre located in Downtown
Vacaville.  Over the previous 2 ½ months Mobin and Cook have been working closely to
bring together investors in support of the purchase and working capital necessary to open
the DeVille Doors and keep them open.

DeVille renovations were funded and completed by Jason Johnson in 2014 who had a vision
for a successful state of the art entertainment venue in Vacaville.  Today Wanda Cook of A &
E Mix, Inc. has developed a strategic business plan that leverages the community’s
diversity.   “We owe a great debt of thankfulness to Jason Johnson for his vision and
investment of Theatre DeVille, said Wanda Cook. I truly hope we can honor Johnson’s vision
by helping Theatre DeVille fulfill its potential.

Moving forward, Cook, plans to involve the whole community in the effort to develop broad-
based and recurring patronage at Theatre DeVille. A & E Mix at Theatre DeVille is dedicated
to promoting the arts and entertainment for community development. “I have been speaking
to numerous civic leaders and stakeholders.  All support the reopening of the Deville,” Cook
said. “My goal is to open up the Deville for private and community rentals as well as
performances the community wants to see. Our plan is to prioritize individual and community
experiences at Theatre DeVille over booking and funding too many expensive bands.

The Deville schedule will include popular headliners, open mic nights, karaoke, comedy,
presentations, themed dance parties, films, along with many local and touring performers in
Country, Jazz, Hip-Hop, and and rock.  Cook also hopes to help local artists by working with
them to build an audience and to get discovered. Classical artists are invited to perform in
the beautiful setting and take advantage of the great acoustics. Theatre DeVille is available
for your school, private or corporate event, fundraiser and more.

Part of the new vision for Theatre DeVille is to give back to children and youth in Solano
County.  Cook brings the staff of Young Artists Conservatory of Music (YACM) to help
operate DeVille. YACM will continue to serve children and youth in music education and
performing arts throughout Solano County.  A percentage of ticket sales and rental fees from
Theatre DeVille will be contributed to support quality music education for young people who
wish to pursue their artistic potential but cannot pay all the costs. YACM is the nonprofit,
community benefit organization, serving over 2000 young people, that operates Solano
Music Conservatory, Solano Youth Theatre, and Music Matters — a collaboration with public
schools to provide music education in the classroom and before or after school.

Sponsorships are planned as central part to the success of Theatre DeVille “One thing I am
particularly excited about is our goal to attract a naming sponsor to support the re-design of
the lobby / bar into a comfortable “piano lounge,” Cook said. “The Deville has a wonderful
Art Deco look and feel that evokes a certain era. We want to ignite the fun and excitement of
gathering people together to listen and even sing jazz standards and show-tunes in a warm
and friendly environment.”

The Deville comes equipped with a full bar and kitchen. Positions for bar manager, head
chef, part-time bar-tenders, wait-staff, tech-crew, and volunteer house managers and ushers
are now open.

The public is invited to a free Open House / Forum on Thursday, August 23rd from 5:00- 7:30
pm. Enjoy live music, limited bar, facility demonstration, tours and a presentation to get to
know the new staff and what’s coming up.

Local and touring performers and promoters are invited to our Performer’s Open House on

vision, how to book at Theatre DeVille and enjoy getting to know our staff.
